Warhammer 40K lore to fall asleep to, told by the one who lived it. Every word is his, and this time he is not a soldier.
Sebastian Thor was a preacher on a world nobody had heard of. He said a tyrant's name once, in a hall, because he was angry about a chapel. A fleet was sent to burn his world, and the sky opened and took it, and two hundred people beside him saw the Emperor's hand. He saw a hole.
He never said so. He let them believe, and the belief carried half the
Imperium to Terra, and a woman with a sword ended the Reign of Blood while he sat on a ship, and the High Lords tried him for treason and then made him head of the Church he had marched against. He wrote the Decree Passive. He signed the Sisters of Battle into being. He took the gold off every wall in the Imperium, and the people painted his face where the gold had been.
This is the account he wrote at the end of his life, so that one page in the archive would say the man on the walls asked not to be put there, and knew why they would anyway, and let them.
WHAT'S COVERED
A boy who learned to preach by watching his father do it badly
The name said once, the year the hall waited, and the name said again
The fleet, the forty days, and the sky that everyone saw differently
The march that he did not lead, the governors who lied usefully, and the Bride who asked
The Palace, Dominica, the door under it, and the man who did not ask to go down
The trial, the three refusals that were not humility, and why he said yes
The purge, the Sisters, the decree, and the gold that came off the walls
What he thinks when he is alone, and what he asks whoever reads this to do
Told in his voice. The events are the canon. The voice is written for this
channel, from the lore, one man's account of a life the records made holy.
Sleep well.
