Killer Whales in Victoria, BC and then on to Rainier National Park

We are Mike & Fiona, a newly retired ex-pat British senior couple living in Virginia, USA. We're on a mission to visit all 63 National Parks in the USA. We've been tent and camper-van camping in many National Parks on summer vacations for the last 10 years. Now we're retired we'll visit the 22 National Parks we haven't yet visited, starting with a 4 month, 20,000 mile TENT CAMPING road trip to Alaska and North West USA! After 8 weeks in Alaska, and last week visiting North Cascades and Olympic National Parks, in this week's video we return to Canada for a short visit. We take the ferry to Victoria, BC and immediately book a whale watching tour. Victoria is beautiful and the Whale watching was a highlight of our trip so far. We got to see several humpback whales and watched a pod of Orcas breaching wildly. Fiona captured video as I took stills of the killer whales action. A self-guided Victoria brewery tour was also great fun. We then returned to Washington, USA and headed to Mount Rainier National Park for some light trail astrophotography and the biggest hike of our trip so far. We loved the State of Washongton beaches so we spend a couple of days exploring the Oregon coastline, including the stunning Cannon Beach.
