The ground reveals discoveries that challenge the idea that its people, places, and stories were simply made up. In this video, I explore seven finds, including Hattusa, Nineveh, the Mesha Stele, the Tel Dan Stele, Jericho, and the fortified city of Lachish. I follow the evidence from ancient empires and forgotten kings to inscriptions connected with David, Omri, Rehoboam, and the House of David. I also examine the remarkable clay jar discovered at Lachish in 2025, whose ancient writing may shed light on a Hebrew word used in the story of Joseph. Archaeology does not answer every question, but these discoveries show how closely the ancient text can connect with the real world beneath our feet.
