Bernard’s Watch S04E03 Wings of Time

A 1990’s/2000’s series on Children’s ITV about Bernard, a boy gifted a watch by a postman that has magical abilities. This was taken from a DVD that contains the whole series, not the master copies of the first 3 seasons, series 4 doesn’t seem to be around and yes there only seem to be Tv recordings if video but it preserves this great Carlton series in a time where tv was made in different regions and kids shows were made by 3 of the terrestrial networks. Bernard teaches Lucy to not suddenly appear when restarting time, to avoid scaring people. However, Lucy later does this with Bernard when she comes to tell him that Mrs Quayle's house is on fire. Bernard goes round to Mrs Quayle's house in frozen time to find the fire and then, after restarting time, call the fire brigade before getting Mrs Quayle out of the house in frozen time. He returns home to tell Lucy but she asks him about the puppies which she went to see on her way to a fancy dress party. Bernard's goes back to Mrs Quayle's and gets the dog basket out of the kitchen, holding his breath, puts it in the garage, to stop the dogs from running away and returns home to tell Lucy. Lucy thinks they should tell Mrs Quayle so she does not go back into the house and to expect the fire brigade and offers to do it herself. As Lucy is still in her fancy dress, Mrs Quayle thinks she is an angel. After going into town with his mother for new school trousers, Bernard's father shows them the news on television about the fire at Mrs Quayle's and her story about the angel she saw. Bernard's parents are fond of Mrs Quayle and are glad someone was looking out for her. Lucy later turns up with a piece of cake from the party. Berna
