God said he never changes his mind. So why does the Bible say he was sorry he made Saul king? One night in 1 Samuel 15, a prophet cries until morning, and the answer changes how you read prayer.
In this video we follow the old prophet Samuel through the darkest night of his life, then trace every time the Bible says God changed course: the flood, Hezekiah's death sentence, David's plague, Amos's locusts, and Moses on the mountain. Along the way we look at the Hebrew word naham (sorry, relent, comfort), what the Greek translators did with it, and three honest Christian readings of a God who "repents."
