Our Supercharged Opel GT FINALLY Hits the Street! But What's in the Oil Filter?!

After fighting through our injector settings and tuning issues, it looks like we're FINALLY getting somewhere with the supercharged 540 BBC Opel GT! This time, we actually get the Opel out of the garage and onto the street for a few successful loops around the block! We're letting the EFI autotune software do its thing, making adjustments as we drive, and hopefully getting this ridiculous little car to run and idle the way it should. With a few successful drives and several warm-up cycles under our belts, it's time for another important milestone: the first oil change and an inspection of our Clear View oil filter. And of course, there's some interesting stuff waiting for us inside... 👀 We take a closer look to see if there are any signs of trouble with the freshly assembled big block. Thankfully, what we find appears to be mostly silicone and assembly lube. Not exactly what you want to see floating around, but certainly better than finding a bunch of metal! We're also working through some of the finishing touches, getting the wiring and hoses into their final positions, tightening up header bolts, and generally trying to get the Opel ready for more serious driving.
