Are you a child of God? And what does that actually mean? The Bible teaches that being a child of God is more than believing that God exists, being religious, going to church, or trying to be a good person. Jesus told Nicodemus—a religious leader and Pharisee—“You must be born again” (John 3:7). In this video, we’ll talk about what it means to be born again, when we receive Christ, and what happens when we become children of God. John 1:12 says, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” When we receive Christ by faith, we aren’t simply adopting a new religion. God gives us new life. His Spirit comes to dwell within us, we are adopted into His family, and our identity changes. We now learn to live from who we are in Christ—not trying to earn God’s love or salvation, but walking by faith, surrendering to Him, and allowing His life to be expressed through us. Being born again doesn’t mean we suddenly become perfect. It means we belong to Him. And as His children, we are called to walk by the Spirit, grow in obedience, turn from sin, trust our Father, and increasingly reflect Christ in the way we live. Have you received Christ—or have you simply known about Him? 📖 Scriptures: John 1:12–13 • John 3:1–8 • Romans 8:14–17 • 2 Corinthians 5:17 • Galatians 2:20 • Ephesians 2:8–10 Subscribe to Simple Gospel Living for more conversations about the Gospel, grace, surrender, and living from our new identity in Christ. #BornAgain #ChildOfGod #JesusChrist #Gospel #ChristianLiving #IdentityInChrist #SimpleGospelLiving
