🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Join us on a scorching summer day in Somerset as we explore the magnificent Montacute House—at least, until we get told to put the camera away! 😮 Before the unexpected "no videoing" rule brings our interior tour to a halt, we dive deep into the fascinating history of this late Elizabethan masterpiece. Built for Sir Edward Phelips, the ambitious lawyer who famously opened the prosecution against Guy Fawkes, this grand estate is bursting with 16th-century secrets. We capture incredible stories from the brilliant National Trust guides, exploring everything from mysterious holes in the sun-baked walls and ancient Roman roads, to a stunning 1788 tapestry featuring exotic wildlife and prehistoric birds. If you’re a fan of the TV series Wolf Hall, you’ll also recognise some of the stunning architecture we showcase along the way! After our filming gets cut short inside, we head out to explore the tranquil fernery, the beautifully manicured sunken gardens, and finish up by feeding the giant, colorful fish.
