At 8:43 in the morning on July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart gave the Coast Guard cutter Itasca a line on a map: 157 337. She said she would repeat it on another frequency. Then one word. Wait.
Tonight we read the original radio log from the National Archives, line by line: the flight from Lae, the night of calls, the five-link chain of radio failures, the last hour at full signal strength, the 262,281-square-mile search, the island that sits on her line, and every theory still standing, including the October 2026 expedition to Nikumaroro.

Which way did they turn? North into the deep near Howland, or south along the line to Gardner Island? Tell us in the comments. The file stays open.
