🔥 *WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT SOME OF THE BIBLE'S INSPIRED WRITERS USED SOURCES THAT WERE NEVER INCLUDED IN THE BIBLE? DOES THAT CHANGE HOW WE SHOULD VIEW GOD'S WORD?* 📖 *THE GIFT OF PROPHECY | LESSON 6: THE PROPHETIC WRITINGS* *Today's Bible Study: Literary Sources* 📖 *Scripture Readings: 1 Kings 11:41 | Luke 1:1–4 | Jude 14–15* When we think about the inspiration of Scripture, we often imagine God giving His prophets visions, dreams, or direct messages to record. But did you know that some biblical writers also used historical documents, eyewitness accounts, and existing writings to communicate God's truth? Today's lesson reveals something fascinating about how the Bible was written—and why the use of literary sources does NOT automatically diminish divine inspiration! 🔥 *THREE SCRIPTURES THAT CHALLENGE HOW WE THINK ABOUT BIBLICAL INSPIRATION!* 📜 *1 KINGS 11:41 — THE RECORDS OF SOLOMON* The Bible refers to the Book of the Acts of Solomon, a historical record containing additional information about Solomon's life and reign. This reference reminds us that biblical historians sometimes drew upon existing records to preserve important events. Not every historical document mentioned in Scripture became part of the Bible, but those records could still provide valuable information. 📜 *LUKE 1:1–4 — THE INVESTIGATING PHYSICIAN* Luke openly explains that he carefully investigated events, considered accounts handed down by eyewitnesses, and organized his findings into an orderly narrative. Think about that! *The Holy Spirit's guidance did not eliminate Luke's responsibility to research, examine evidence, and communicate accurately.* God worked through Luke's human abilities to produce a trustworthy account of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ! 📜 *JUDE 14–15 — THE PROPHECY OF ENOCH* Jude presents a prophecy attributed to Enoch that closely parallels a passage found in the ancient Jewish writing known as 1 Enoch. But here's an important distinction: *Quoting a statement from an ancient writing does not automatically mean endorsing that entire writing as inspired Scripture.* This raises important questions about the relationship between divine inspiration and the literary sources biblical writers used. 🔥 *HERE'S THE POWERFUL LESSON FOR US TODAY!* God's inspiration did not always bypass human knowledge, investigation, research, or literary skill. Instead, He worked through human messengers to preserve the truth He wanted communicated. Some writers received visions. Others recorded historical events, collected information, consulted documents, or incorporated earlier writings. *DIFFERENT METHODS. DIFFERENT MESSENGERS. ONE DIVINE PURPOSE—TO COMMUNICATE GOD'S TRUTH!* And there's a lesson here for our personal walk with Christ. God has given us His Word, but He also calls us to study diligently, examine the Scriptures carefully, and seek a deeper understanding of His truth. Faith should never be an excuse for refusing to study! 🙏 *TODAY'S POWERFUL QUESTION:* *If God inspired biblical writers who carefully examined evidence and searched existing records to communicate His truth, why are so many of us willing to accept what others SAY about the Bible instead of opening God's Word and investigating the truth for ourselves?* 💬 *LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!* Do you believe Christians today spend enough time personally studying Scripture, or have we become too dependent on what others tell us? 👇 Share your answer in the COMMENTS! 👍 LIKE if you believe studying God's Word strengthens your faith! 🔔 SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications for DAILY Bible studies as we continue discovering the power, purpose, and reliability of Scripture! 📖 *Today's Scriptures: 1 Kings 11:41 | Luke 1:1–4 | Jude 14–15* *THE GIFT OF PROPHECY | QUARTER 4, 2026* #SabbathSchool #SabbathSchoolLesson #ThePropheticWritings #GiftOfProphecy #BibleStudy #Adventist #Bible #Scripture #WordOfGod #PropheticWritings
