🔥 *What if the words God gave His people had never been written down? How much truth would have been forgotten, distorted, or completely lost with the passing of time?* Welcome to today’s Bible study in our quarter-long series, *The Gift of Prophecy**. Today’s lesson is **“Written Messages,”* and we’re studying **Exodus 17:14, John 20:30–31, 1 Corinthians 10:11, and Revelation 1:19**. Throughout Scripture, God did not only speak His messages—He commanded that many of them be **written down**. Why? Because spoken words can fade from memory, but written truth can be preserved and passed from one generation to the next. In **Exodus 17:14**, God instructed Moses to write down what had happened as a memorial. In **John 20:30–31**, John explains that the signs of Jesus were written so that people might **believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and through believing have life in His name**. In **1 Corinthians 10:11**, Paul reminds us that the experiences of previous generations were recorded as **examples and warnings for us**. And in **Revelation 1:19**, John is directly commanded to **write what he had seen, what was happening, and what would take place afterward**. In today’s study, we’ll examine: 📖 Why God preserved His messages in written form ✍️ How writing protects truth from being forgotten or distorted 🔥 Why biblical history was recorded for future generations ✝️ How written testimony helps lead people to faith in Jesus ⚠️ Why the failures of the past were preserved as warnings for us 👁️ Why God commanded John to record the visions of Revelation 🙏 Why written Scripture remains essential to our faith today God did not preserve Scripture merely so we could know what happened thousands of years ago. *He preserved it so we could learn from it today.* The victories were written. The failures were written. The warnings were written. The promises were written. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus were written. And prophetic messages were written so future generations would have a trustworthy record of what God had revealed. That means when we open the Bible, we are not simply reading ancient history. *We are reading a message God intentionally preserved for generations—including ours.* 💬 *POWERFUL ENDING QUESTION:* *If God considered His message important enough to preserve in writing for thousands of years, how seriously are you taking the words He made sure reached you today?* Share your answer in the comments and join us each day as we continue studying **The Gift of Prophecy**. 📖 *Today’s Scriptures:* Exodus 17:14 | John 20:30–31 | 1 Corinthians 10:11 | Revelation 1:19 📚 *Today’s Lesson:* Written Messages 🔥 *Quarter Series:* The Gift of Prophecy #BibleStudy #Bible #Faith #Jesus #Christianity #Christian #Scripture #ChristianLiving #BibleProphecy
