I think you’re the love of my life. Not in a weird, flowers in the attic way. In a bigger way than that. The way the shore is where the ocean goes home. The way the moon is just a rock until the sun hits it just right and then it can light up the whole night’s sky. Isn’t it strange how having an anchor is so freeing? You tether me to this planet but you give me wings at the same time. No one will ever love me like you love me, and no one will ever love you like I love you. We don’t have missing pieces, we’re just two halves of a whole. And I don’t know how we ended up like this, but I don’t know how Earth came along with the right everything to allow us to exist. That’s for the scientists to figure out. All I need to know is that my heart beats for you, and I’m so incredibly lucky to know that I have a sister who will protect me, help me fly, catch me, leg me up and just be my best friend. Wherever you go, I go. It’s been that way all along. Some things are just a given, the sun will always rise, the stars will always shimmer, I will always be your shadow and you will always be my sunshine. You are the strongest person I know, the most selfless and the kindest. You are a stunning mum and a beautiful person. The harder it gets, the softer you get. I want to be you when I grow up. Wherever you go, I go. And it’s been that way all along. We will forever clap so loudly for eachother that we will never notice who isn’t there.
