Cassie was absolutely incredible, didn’t look at a thing and was just bold as brass, so proud of her! That was her first time seeing the water, and it really is bright blue at Boomerang so we were over the moon that she went straight in. Especially proud of how she kept her head and was a good girl to deal with for her first time out with us! Ads came out a bit backwards, so we did lots of work encouraging him to use his thinking brain and not his stubborn brain. It’s not the prettiest or best footage, but considering I had to ride my ass off to get him over a match stick, I was actually really proud of the work he did in the end. Especially with the water because he was not having any of that to begin with, despite working through our driveway puddles all winter. Obviously we always share the good and the bad, and I will at some point do a video breaking down the water training, but try not to judge the state of my riding, sometimes you look a bit scrappy when you’re trying to get a backwards horse going. I was not going for style, my only goal was to get him t the other side so I could praise him and make it a positive exerience. Rest assured, Ads went back out the following week and was massively improved. Thank you Elsie for all your help. You’re amazing. It was our first time at Boomerang after a recommendation from Claire, and the vibes were just perfect. What a lovely place and what lovely people!
