Iranian Rural Life | Hand-Washing Blankets and Cooking an Amazing Pomegranate Stew

Welcome to another peaceful and authentic day of rural life in Iran! 🌿 In this video, join me as I take care of everyday household chores and prepare a traditional homemade meal in the countryside. From hand-washing two blankets with laundry detergent to cooking a delicious seasonal dish, this is a glimpse into simple village living and traditional Iranian food. I started my morning by washing two blankets by hand. After rinsing them thoroughly, I placed them over the garden fence so the excess water could drain before spreading them out to dry. Then it was time to prepare lunch: a traditional seasonal dish made with pomegranate and chicken, served with Persian rice. First, I soaked the rice and fried the chicken pieces in hot oil until golden. Then I added fresh pomegranate seeds, fried onions, tomato paste, and aromatic spices. I poured in some water and let everything cook slowly so the flavors could blend together. Meanwhile, I parboiled and drained the rice before letting it steam. Once the blankets had drained, I spread them out to dry in the fresh countryside air. Finally, I served the delicious chicken and pomegranate stew with freshly cooked Persian rice and fresh herbs. ❤️ It was a comforting homemade meal inspired by traditional Iranian cooking and seasonal ingredients. Rural life is about more than beautiful scenery. It is also about daily hard work, caring for the home, preparing food from simple ingredients, and keeping traditional customs alive.
