Via Guasto degli Orsi is still a street in Forlì. It marks the spot where Caterina Sforza had a palace torn down in 1488 while its 85 year old owner watched, before he was dragged around the square behind a horse and quartered. This Renaissance history documentary follows the Countess of Forlì from the Sforza court in Milan to Florence: the murder of Girolamo Riario, her children held under the walls of Ravaldino, the massacre after Giacomo Feo’s death, the plague letters sent to the Borgia pope, and the siege where Cesare Borgia took her. Machiavelli met her once and never stopped writing about her.
