The Dutch Cheese Soufflé A most popular snack in the Netherlands A Cheese Soufflé (kaassoufflé) is thought to be influenced by Indonesian street food called gorengan (fritter), it is either homemade or bought ready-made frozen and deep-fried at home, or ordered at snackbars in the Netherlands Ingredients: 10 soufflés 10 square puff pastry sheets 300 gr Gouda cheese (8 months aged) 150 gr Gouda cheese (12 months aged) 150 gr cheddar (extra matured) 4 eggs 250 gr bread crumbs Frying oil Use 30 to 35 gr of cheese per soufflé If you want the classic Dutch cheese soufflé, use a Gouda or Edam cheese aged 6 or 8 months.
