There are times when the world feels uncertain - when there is too much information, too many predictions, and far too many things we cannot control. We can know what is happening on the other side of the world almost instantly. That can be an incredible gift, but it can also leave our minds and hearts carrying more than they were ever meant to hold. So how do we stay informed without becoming consumed? How do we care about what is happening in the world without carrying the whole world on our shoulders? And how do we find peace when we don't know what tomorrow will bring? Perhaps the answer begins by coming back to today. We don't have to solve tomorrow today. We can care deeply, help where we can, and remain compassionate - while remembering that today is the day we actually have. In this reflection, we'll consider the difference between caring and carrying, the importance of stepping away from the constant stream of information, and the simple question: What is mine to do today? Because we may not know what tomorrow holds. But we can still live well today. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” — Matthew 6:34 Thank you for spending a little time here.
