Sunday, August 30, 2026
Avenue T Church of Christ came together for a special combined English and Spanish worship service on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Cole Tuck presented the sermon “Heart Problems,” with Charlie Rodriguez providing Spanish translation. The world tells us to “follow your heart,” but can our hearts always be trusted?
This powerful message examines what Scripture says about the human heart, temptation, sin, truth, and the danger of allowing our feelings to become our ultimate guide. The sermon points to Jesus as the perfect example of surrendering personal desires to God's will. Our hearts may deceive us, but God's heart is trustworthy.
The question is not simply, “What does my heart want?”
The better question is, “What does God want?”
