There’s something magical about enjoying Filipino grilled food while listening to the rain during a power outage. ❤️ Tonight, our family shared one of our favorite dinners ever on Samal Island! We ordered a huge stuffed grilled squid (Inihaw na Pusit) filled with delicious herbs and spices, together with juicy Pork Inihaw cooked over charcoal. The electricity went out, but instead of ruining the evening, it made everything even more special. With the warm tropical rain outside, a cozy veranda, and the incredible aroma of Filipino barbecue, it became a dinner we will never forget. In this vlog, you’ll also see a heartwarming surprise as subscribers of our friend and neighbor Rahani sent wonderful gifts for our three children — Misha, Kostya, and Hanna. Watching the kids open their presents was such a joyful and emotional moment.
