Today's passage is a reflective one, about the courage it takes to speak a language that isn't yours, to make mistakes in front of people, and to trust that the confidence comes after you start talking, not before. It's the kind of pep talk I wish someone had given me before I moved abroad and started stumbling through everyday conversations in English. We'll work through it in three parts. First, écoute et lis: you listen while reading the text, so you can follow the meaning and the rhythm together. Second, écoute et répète: we go phrase by phrase, and you repeat each one after me. Third, we shadow the text together at natural speed, right along with the recording. That third part goes fast on purpose. That's the real speed of spoken French, so if it feels like a stretch, slow it to 0.75x with the settings wheel, or loop it and try again. B2-C1 should feel comfortable here; B1 will be a good stretch. Want a full week of it?
