Lajes Landing Zone Gusty Wind Approaches

Strap in as a C-130 negotiates the new Bullrun Landing Zone on Lajes on 21 October 2020. The new LZ provides an alternate landing surface for C-130s and possibly C-17s in the event the main Lajes runway is out of service. The LZ also provides a training site for aircrews and ground crews. The inauguration of the Bullrun LZ was a shared event by the Portuguese Air Force and U.S. Air Force.
