STOP STRUGGLING ALONE — YOU HAVE A DIVINE HELPER! | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

The Holy Spirit is your divine Helper. Apostle Joshua Selman teaches how His ministry brings spiritual understanding, guidance, transformation and empowerment to the believer’s life. How do you recognise and respond to the Holy Spirit’s help? This Koinonia message considers who the Holy Spirit is, His work in creation and His ministry to people. Apostle Joshua Selman explains why knowing Him matters for the way believers understand Scripture, make decisions and grow in their walk with God. The teaching begins with worship and an emphasis on learning the ways of God through His Word. It then turns to the creation account, where the Spirit of God and the spoken Word are both present. From this foundation, Apostle Joshua Selman describes the Holy Spirit as God, the manifestation of God’s presence and the wisdom of God. The message explores conviction, transformation and empowerment, then considers the recipients of the Holy Spirit’s ministry. It looks at His work in creation, His role in bringing people to faith and His continuing help in the life of a believer. The discussion of conviction draws on Jesus’ teaching about sin, righteousness and judgment. For believers, Apostle Joshua Selman identifies five areas of help. These include awakening spiritual sensitivity, revealing the meaning of Scripture, providing guidance and direction, renewing the mind and empowering service. The teaching connects transformation with bringing thoughts and beliefs into agreement with God’s ways. It also points to Jesus’ ministry and Isaiah 61 when explaining empowerment. As you watch, explore how to: • Grow in your understanding of the Holy Spirit’s person and ministry. • Read Scripture with attention to the help and understanding He supplies. • Seek guidance when you need clarity about a decision. • Recognise attitudes and beliefs that need renewal through God’s Word. • Develop fellowship with God through worship, prayer and study. If you have been carrying a responsibility with little sense of direction, revisit the chapters on guidance and renewal. Bring the specific decision before God and consider which passage of Scripture you need to understand more clearly. The service includes worship, an invitation to receive Jesus Christ and closing prayers for the congregation.
