A clear autumn night on the shore of a quiet lake in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A bright moon lays a silver path across the water, and a small kerosene lantern glows on the sand. Four cats have come down the pine trail to rest for the night: one plays his baritone sax on an old driftwood log, their scruffy grey-and-white friend picks his acoustic guitar, one lies back against the log with his hands behind his head, and one sits on a rock with a warm mug, watching the moon. No tickets, no luggage, just the clothes they came in.
Warm baritone saxophone, walking upright bass, light piano, and brushes keep a slow, easy vintage swing, with a little bossa and waltz along the way. Instrumental jazz for moonlit nights, relaxing, reading, or a quiet hour when you're not ready for bed.
Still up?
If you’re not ready yet, the lantern’s still on.
