Britain’s First Floating Padel Club: Every Week, Something Nearly Stopped It

Britain’s first floating padel courts opened at Princes Dock in Liverpool in September. No pillars, no foundations - the whole structure floats and moves with the water. Lauren Fenton co-founded it, under a year after picking up a racket for the first time. She talks through what it takes to start a padel business and build a club on water, the problems that nearly stopped it, and how you fill a padel court at 2pm on a Tuesday. What would you want to see at a club like this? Tell Lauren in the comments - she’s building the events programme now. Subscribe for new episodes every week.
