Boho Chic Van Makeover -- Escape Back to Your Youth

What do you do when the world gets to be too much? I escape. This time, I'm escaping into a world of my own making: a fantasy interior filled with childhood wonder, unexpected characters, bold colors, and a little bit of beautiful absurdity. But getting there wasn't as simple as decorating a van. Along the way, I found myself thinking about childhood, the way time seems to speed up as we get older, and why new beginnings, curiosity, and learning might be part of the secret to staying young. A memory of working at the House of Blues in Los Angeles led me to think about the rat race. Watching The Post reminded me of the power of hope. And revisiting childhood favorites like Pippi Longstocking helped me discover what I really wanted to create. The answer wasn't just a beautiful interior. It was a whole world, with its own characters, stories, contrasts, and personality. This is the first in a series of holiday-inspired van interior designs. For me, the holidays are more than decorations and gifts. They're the rituals and memories that help mark the passage of time and give us something to look forward to. So come along while I escape into a little world of wonder. Because sometimes, the journey really is the destination.
