Today it is my pleasure to present the new album from Auriferous Flame. A project from Spectral Lore’s Ayloss, of epic blackened thrashing that recalls the primordial waves of the old school. Three tracks of technically meticulous and atmospherically enveloping black metal; of increasingly constricting riffing, eruptions of snarling and chanting, explosive passages of parched drumming, and reverent mid-tempo rhythms that gallop and surge through the decades, of confrontational occult melodicism; from Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, to Bathory, Master’s Hammer, Mortuary Drape, and Coroner.
