Menopause often brings with it a frustrating surprise: unexplained weight gain, especially around the abdomen, that feels immune to diet and exercise. While this change is common, it’s not inevitable — and it’s certainly treatable. Shifts in estrogen, insulin sensitivity, and muscle mass all play a role, but so do outdated medical assumptions and missed opportunities for intervention. It’s time to separate myth from science.
Join us for a powerful virtual conversation featuring Dr. Lydia Alexander, Chief Medical Officer of Enara Health, and Dr. Catherine Hansen, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, OB/GYN and Menopause lead at Pandia Health. Together, they’ll explore the intersection of hormones, weight, and metabolic health in midlife women — including why traditional weight loss advice often fails during menopause, and what evidence-based, compassionate looks like instead.
