From Southeast Portland to the Gorge: A Ride to Vista House

This ride cruised from SE Portland out to the gorge, through roads both familiar and unfamiliar. Landmarks of note include Foster the Phoenix (https://fosterthephoenix.com/), Foster Outdoor (https://fosteroutdoor.com/), Leach Botanical Garden (https://www.leachgarden.org/), Feral Cat Cove (https://www.instagram.com/lentscommun...) There are so many rad things happening in your neighborhood when you get out there and start looking for and at them, and being able to tie them all together into a bike ride would last a lifetime. While I really enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on Oregon's history, visiting the Vista House by bike was a treat in itself, and it was followed up by a really great sandwich in Gresham at Sanguiche (https://sanguicheshop.com/) which has been on my list for a long time but was well worth the anticipation. If we are just naming stuff we like in Gresham, I'm also a huge fan of the Tamale Factory (https://tamale-factory.com/index.html) which is not pictured in this video, but absolutely rules and you should go there. Next weeks video will be further afield, but I really enjoyed having the time to explore the space in my own backyard.
