Rogers St/Cremona St Pedestrian Crossing, Mentone (Before & After Closure)

This is the Rogers St/Cremona St pedestrian crossing in Mentone, with footage I took in November 2021 and September 2026. This crossing was closed alongside the removal of the nearby Warrigal Rd and Parker's Rd level crossings in August 2024 Before it's closure, this crossing was moved slightly south from its original location in 2020 due to the proximity of the nearby Balcombe Rd level crossing removal. I filmed this new upgraded crossing in 2021 on the chance it would get closed due to its proximity to the Warrigal Rd level crossing, which was in the process of being removed. I'm also guessing that with the new nearby underpasses/overpasses now open, this crossing was deemed surplus to the network and thus was closed In operation, this crossing had: Magnetic autocontrol swing gates with push button release escape exits The old footpath on the south side is still present at this crossing, and now make up part of a walkway providing employee access to the rail corridor. However, a different crossing ID number with old sign design is now here. I'm not too sure why
