From the first railway of 1838 to the tram that came back to Moabit in 2023: every S-Bahn, U-Bahn and tram line of Berlin, growing and shrinking on a real map. Green is the S-Bahn, blue the U-Bahn, red the tram. Horse trams, the world's first electric tram, the elevated Stadtbahn and the first U-Bahn on its iron viaduct; the electric S-Bahn of the 1920s, the flooded tunnel of 1945, and then a divided city. In 1961 the Wall cut every line at the border, West trains ran through sealed ghost stations under the East, West Berliners boycotted the S-Bahn and West Berlin tore out all its trams, while the East kept and extended them. The film follows the network joining up again after 1989, the Ringbahn closing its circle in 2002 and the U5 under Unter den Linden in 2020.
