Black Sun Rises Again

The man who was born from earth eventually learned to fear death. He looked toward the setting sun and wondered where it went when darkness covered the world. The priests of Kemet knew the answer. Every night, the Sun descended into the realm of the dead, travelling through darkness before rising again at dawn. Death was not the end. It was a passage. But not every soul could cross it. The dead had to face the truth hidden within their own heart. A heart made heavy by greed, violence and lies would never reach the light. And so the man stood before the scales. On one side lay his heart. On the other, the feather of truth. For the first time, he understood: The greatest judgment was not made by the gods. It was made by the life he had chosen to live.
