Tailleferre, Germaine - Forlane - Live Piano Track

Daily Drop 61. Help pick the next song: http://venmo.com/tuxedotracks Another Tailleferre flute piece:    • Tailleferre, Germaine - Pastorale, for flu...   Okay I accidentally deleted the horizontal footage and I had to crudely re-build it from the 720p vertical footage, BUT I loved working on this - there's so many ways to shape these interesting 5 measure phrases! I like Laurel Zucker's approach of mostly connecting through the first 5, but breathing so the next 5 measures are more of a 4+1, really gives that half cadence a lot of impact. Aside from some interesting shaping choices to make, there are also a couple of surprisingly dense and dramatic sections, don't be fooled by the austere A minor opening. I have been lucky enough to have rehearsed and performed thousands on thousands of pieces as a collab pianist working for university schools of music, opera & musical theater companies, staff pianist for instrumental conferences and touring, freelancing in several major metro areas, and session work in genres from lofi hip hop to progressive metal for nerds on the internet. Due to being more remote these days (moved to rural ohio whoops), my live performances are fewer, so this digital outlet channels the motivation I have to dust off pieces and be of service right from my piano setup in the woods. I am building an archive to replace the lifeless MIDI files and distorted phone recordings of piano tracks currently out there. Stop practicing with a computer. Start rehearsing with a pianist 😉. And then hire me for your recital, of course.   / tuxedotracks     / tuxedo.tracks     / tuxedotracks
