Maya Grass Tutorial: How To Create Realistic Grass In Maya Xgen -Fast

Subscribe to Channel:    / @mohammadsadeh-animation   In this how to make realistic grass in Maya tutorial I want to show you how to quickly create cg grass in any Maya version that uses Xgen. I will be using a low poly grass at first then I will use Xgen to generate the grass on the poly plane and create the first pass on the yard grass in Maya. After that I will show you how to export an Xgen archive file for using it later to scatter once we are done with this step we will import the grass Xgen model and we will adjust the settings inside Xgen to make the grass look more natural and start customizing the look of the grass to make it look more appealing and realistic. Xen is very powerful extension of Maya that help us massively to achieve big scattering effects with ease. There is a lot of stuff to learn in this lesson so lets get started!! You can follow along with this tutorial with your own grass model or you can easily create grass from the Maya visor, I used these models that I already bought to do the demo, they are pretty good to deliver nice results pretty quickly.
