Tram Weekend at the National Tramway Museum | Day 1 Part 2

Join me back at the National Tramway Museum at Crich, Derbyshire, for Part 2 of Day 1 of the museum's Tram Weekend 2026, filmed on Saturday 12th September 2026. Continuing directly from Part 1, we enjoy even more action from the museum's intensive tram service, with a varied selection of historic tramcars operating throughout the afternoon. Tram Weekend is one of the highlights of the National Tramway Museum calendar, providing an opportunity to see the tramway operating at a much busier intensity than on a normal running day. With frequent departures and numerous cars appearing throughout the event, there's almost always something happening somewhere along the line. We also continue to capture activity around the depot and yard, with trams being moved, repositioned and shunted as the museum's crews manage the intensive service. These movements provide some fascinating behind-the-scenes action and opportunities to see additional members of the collection outside the depot. Alongside the trackside footage, we'll see the trams working through the museum's period street and along the scenic tramway, capturing plenty of the sights and sounds that make a busy day at Crich so enjoyable. This is Part 2 and the final instalment from Day 1, concluding Saturday's main Tram Weekend coverage following a memorable day which began with the official launch of Blackpool 645 – Access Tram 2. There's still plenty more to come, however, as we return for Day 2 of Tram Weekend, featuring another intensive service together with further shunting and special demonstrations.
