Tram Weekend at the National Tramway Museum | Day 2 Part 2

Join me for Part 2 of 3 from Day 2 of Tram Weekend 2026 at the National Tramway Museum, Crich, filmed on Sunday 13th September 2026. Continuing our coverage of a very busy Sunday at the museum, we see more of the intensive heritage tram service, with a fantastic variety of historic cars moving along the line throughout the day. With frequent departures and arrivals, Tram Weekend gives visitors the chance to experience a much busier tramway than on a normal operating day, while also providing plenty of opportunities to see different members of the museum's collection in action. We also continue to follow the activity around the depot and yard, where trams are shunted, repositioned and prepared as the day's intensive operation continues. Alongside the passenger service, Day 2 features special shunting and traverser demonstrations, giving visitors an opportunity to see how tramcars are manoeuvred around the depot complex and moved between the various roads. It's a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at the National Tramway Museum, combining the spectacle of an intensive passenger service with some of the less frequently seen operational work required to manage such a large collection of historic tramcars. This is Part 2 of three from Day 2, with one final instalment still to come as we continue through Sunday's Tram Weekend programme.
