Cannes is the most famous city on the French Riviera, famed for its International Film Festival, when it is besieged by stars, journalists, photographers, and onlookers, who clog the promenades, hotels, and bars in search of fame. Originally a fishing village on the Ligurian coast, it evolved from a maritime port into a renowned tourist destination on the French Riviera in the 19th century, thanks to the English aristocracy and the mild climate. We resume our journey from Rue d'Antibes, heading down Rue du Commandant André towards the most famous part of the city, its seafront, Boulevard de la Croisette. This two-kilometer long promenade along the Cannes seafront is one of the most elegant and exclusive places in Europe: it is the favorite catwalk for celebrities to have their photos taken and for ordinary people to spot VIPs. Here you will find the shops of the most prestigious fashion brands and the most luxurious hotels in the city, such as the Hotel Carlton and the Hotel Martinez, with private beaches. Strolling among super-luxury sports cars and seven-star hotels and the beaches of the French Riviera, we arrive in the film festival area at the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes and the Cannes Walk of Fame, and then on to the Port de Cannes, Promenade de la Pantiero. Passing in front of the Hotel de Ville, all lit up, we arrive at the end of our tour in Alles de la Liberte' Charles de Gaulle.
