In stead, use gage R&R to check if a less reliable measurement system is good enough for your purposes. Do we need to invest in an expensive automated analysis device, send samples to an external lab, or is the way our operators currently test our product good enough - that is in interesting question for measurement systems analysis, which can be answered by checking the repeatability and reproducibility (R&R).
