It’s been over three years since I last experienced this incredible remake from start to finish after completing it multiple times during release week, so this runthrough has been all about rediscovering one of the finest Resident Evil games of the modern era. No speedrunning. No rushing. Just taking my time, soaking up the atmosphere, revisiting the story… and probably getting caught out by an enemy once or twice. That journey is now complete. An absolutely amazing experience all over again. But now … it’s DLC time. In Part 1 of Separate Ways, we finally step out of the shadows with Ada Wong and see the events of Resident Evil 4 from a very different perspective. From her clandestine opening mission and horrific encounters inside the castle, to crossing paths with familiar faces, battling the mysterious and terrifying Black Robe, and slipping through extreme danger with style, Ada’s assignment wastes no time pulling us into the mystery. With Salazar's castle crawling with threats, Luis caught in the middle of a much bigger conspiracy, and Ada being watched by forces that clearly know more than they’re letting on, this video sets the tone perfectly.
