Interview with a Legend in Diabetes Care: Dr. Camillo Ricordi

In this episode of Diabetes: Voices of Strength I sit down for a discussion with famed scientist and inventor Dr. Camillo Ricordi. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the invention of the Ricordi Chamber. All of the islet cell transplants you hear about online, including the Eledon Trial, are made possible by Dr. Ricordi's invention. In the interview, Dr. Ricordi recounts the story of his invention, he discusses the current trials including the Eledon trial which made diabetics like Katie Beth Hand insulin independent, and he talks about the future prospects for a cure.
