Watch live as Karl Bushby returns to Hull after 28-year walk around the world

Adventurer Karl Bushby is to make his final stop in his home city of Hull on Monday morning following a 28-year walk from South America. Mr Bushby, now 57, set off from the southern end of Chile in 1998, when he was 28, vowing to walk all the way home without using any form of motorised transport. After years of dangerous escapades, including crossing the notorious Darien Gap in Central America and traversing the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia on the frozen sea, he arrived back in England earlier this month, announcing that he had swum the Channel. He is expected to make his final stop at Queen Victoria Square in the centre of Hull at around 11am before returning to his mother’s house – officially completing a 31,000-mile (50,000km) journey. He will later return to Hull City Hall for a press conference in the afternoon. ---------------------- For more of the biggest news stories in the UK and around the world, visit the ITV News YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj   • Subscribe to ITV News In Full on YouTube:    / @itvnewsinfull    • Get breaking news and more stories at: http://www.itv.com/news   • Follow ITV News on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=... • Follow ITV News on Instagram:   /      • Follow ITV News on Facebook:   /      • Follow ITV News on X:   / itvnews
