However, there is one important condition that every farmer needs to understand carefully: the announcement refers to 33 per cent crop damage due to drought. Now, the question is, if drought conditions have affected the entire state and 304 out of 358 talukas are facing severe drought, then which farmers have actually suffered 33 per cent crop damage? How was this damage assessed, who conducted the verification, where are the official figures available, and can farmers themselves access these details? After today's cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that ₹5,000 in assistance had been deposited into the accounts of 73 lakh farmers before Diwali. He also said that ₹4,064 crore under the loan waiver scheme had been deposited into the accounts of 4.86 lakh farmers. But what about the remaining farmers?
