For more information visit: https://www.ihsociety.com/mastertungs... Acupuncture is very effective for pain in the neck, back and shoulders. In this video I discuss how myofascial lines relate to the meridians, structure, alignment, and the similarities between traditional points and Master Tung's points. Lung 7 is an important point in acupuncture and is said to be the command point for the neck and occiput. When we look at the anatomy of the myofascial lines, we can better understand why acupuncture points on the lung meridian and in the region of LU 7 - LU 6 are effective for many patterns of neck and back pain. In TCM stomach 38 is considered to be an empirical point for shoulder pain. From a myofascial perspective ST 38 is on the Superficial Front Line (SFL). Also on this line is the SCM muscle which attaches to the clavicle. As the clavicle is one of the three bones of the shoulder, we can understand how a point like ST 38 and the Three Weights (77.05, 77.06, 77.07) can influence the shoulder joint. Distal acupuncture uses points like LU 7 and ST 38 to treat the neck and shoulders rather than using local points. By understanding neuromuscular convergence around the neck, ankles, and wrists, we can appreciate traditional concepts like imaging and treating the opposite end of the meridians. #MasterTung #acupuncture #TCM
