I Will Restore You - Prophecies of Jeremiah

The days are coming, says the Lord When I will my people return Jeremiah wrote this centuries ago From the Scriptures we must learn Many long dark years, they gave up hope So destitute and abused In foreign lands suffering Often mistreated and accused Driven out of nation to nation Wandering throughout the earth Yet God's declaration still intact Guaranteeing Israel's rebirth You, O Israel, I have not forgotten Though in the darkness you grope I know the plans I have for you To give you a future and a hope Can a mother forget her nursing child? Neglect the newborn babe? Even if she could, I never will Forget the promise I made I have remembered my covenant I will remember the land Though you have seen much trouble Your renewal will be grand You will call on me I will listen to you You will pray to me I will attend to you You will hear my voice I will restore you You will call on me I will listen to you You will pray to me I will attend to you You will hear my voice I will restore you
