Cao Bang to Khau Coc Cha | Vietnam’s Ultimate Motorbike Adventure

The adventure continues through the remote mountains of Northern Vietnam as I leave Cao Bang behind and take my motorbike deep into the mountains towards the legendary Khau Coc Cha Mountain Pass. This is one of those motorcycle journeys where the road is just as much a part of the adventure as the destination. The further I travel from Cao Bang, the more remote the landscape becomes — winding mountain roads, towering limestone cliffs, steep valleys, tiny villages and incredible views around almost every corner. The highlight of the journey is Khau Coc Cha Pass, famous for its dramatic series of tight hairpin bends carved into the mountainside. From the road below, the pass looks almost impossible to ride, making it one of the most memorable roads I’ve encountered during my Northern Vietnam motorbike adventure. This isn’t a polished tourist experience. This is raw, remote Vietnam from the seat of a motorbike.
