The Waffle Sandwich That Doesn’t Need Syrup | Velo Cafe, Cable, WI

A waffle breakfast sandwich with ham, egg, green apple, and honey mustard aioli at Velo Cafe in Cable, Wisconsin. Does it need syrup? Heck no! We grabbed some breakfast in Wisconsin. This time we tried the waffle sandwich and a breakfast salad at Velo Cafe, a converted house in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The sandwich layers egg, ham, cheddar, and green apple between Belgian waffles, and the honey mustard aioli does the job syrup usually does. It’s also the room where the idea for Tasting Our Way took shape, and where some of our first Shorts were filmed. Velo is French for bicycle, and Cable is mountain bike country, with races and events throughout the year, including the Chequamegon Mountain Bike Festival and the Epic Bike Fest at Mt. Telemark Village.
