In Lesson 7 of the Neoclassical Table course, we continue setting up the photographic studio by positioning the camera and defining the final composition.
We start by setting the output resolution to a 3:2 aspect ratio and positioning the camera using a 50 mm focal length. We then adjust the camera height and framing using Lens Shift, allowing us to refine the composition without changing the camera position or introducing an unwanted low-angle perspective.
We also introduce the Rule of Thirds and Blender’s Composition Guides to create a more balanced and visually effective product shot.
Finally, we add an Empty object and parent the entire table to it. This provides a single reference point for moving, rotating, and scaling the model and will also be useful during the lighting setup in the following lessons.
In this lesson:
• Setting a 3:2 output resolution
• Adding and positioning the camera
• Using a 50 mm focal length
• Adjusting the framing with Lens Shift
• Using the Rule of Thirds
• Enabling Composition Guides
• Adding an Empty object
• Parenting the table to the Empty
• Preparing the model for the lighting setup
This course focuses on a professional Blender workflow for modeling, materials, lighting, and realistic product visualization.
