The Indian Express reported that the officers sought a rollback or reversion facility in the ECINet system after reviewing documents and objections, but the required functionality was not enabled before the final roll was published. The report says Goa’s Chief Electoral Officer’s office sent multiple urgent communications over seven days. The issue has also become part of a wider debate over the Election Commission’s handling of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The Election Commission has rejected reports that there was a disagreement over its final SIR decisions, saying decisions were taken unanimously.
