Getting Lost in the Canadian Rockies | Attempting Jimmy Simpson Jr at Bow Lake | Icefields Parkway

We took the wrong turn on our way to Jimmy Simpson Jr. above Bow Lake in the Canadian Rockies - and somehow, getting lost ended up being one of the best parts of the day. After weeks of smoke and rain, we finally had a chance to get back into the mountains. We headed up the Icefields Parkway toward Bow Lake for a summer hike and scramble of Jimmy Simpson Jr., one of the incredible peaks overlooking the Bow Lake area. Things didn't go exactly as planned. We missed our turn on the trail and ended up heading in the wrong direction toward the back of Bow Lake before realizing our mistake. But despite the detour, this turned into an incredible day in the Canadian Rockies. This is a cinematic hiking vlog documenting the full experience - from the first views of Bow Lake, to the trail, getting lost, the climb, and the views from the mountain.
