ऋग्वेद के नासदीय सूक्त (10.129) के प्रथम एवं द्वितीय मन्त्र सृष्टि के उद्भव से पूर्व की उस अनिर्वचनीय अवस्था का उद्घाटन करते हैं जब न असत् का अस्तित्व था, न सत् का ("नासदासीन्नो सदासीत्तदानीं")। न अन्तरिक्ष था, न उससे परे आकाश। न मृत्यु थी, न अमृतत्व, और न ही दिन-रात का कोई भेद था। उस गहन अन्धकार और शून्य के बीच केवल वह एक तत्त्व (तदेकम्) बिना किसी बाह्य वायु के अपनी आन्तरिक शक्ति (स्वधा) से चेतना-युक्त होकर स्पन्दित हो रहा था। यह व्याख्यान इन दोनों मन्त्रों के गम्भीर दार्शनिक और ब्रह्माण्डीय रहस्यों को उजागर करता है। यह चर्चा “वेद विहंगम” पुस्तक पर आधारित है। "Nasadasinno Sadasittdanim" -- There was neither non-existence nor existence then. Delving into the first and second mantras of the Rigvedic Nasadiya Sukta (RV 10.129), this discourse contemplates the primordial reality prior to cosmic manifestation. Transcending physical and metaphysical categories, these foundational verses reveal a state wherein neither space, nor death, nor immortality, nor the division of day and night existed. Enveloped in primal obscurity, only 'That One' (Tad Ekam) breathed breathless by Its own intrinsic power (Svadha). Based on Swami Samarpanananda's book 'Veda Vihangam', this talk unpacks the subtle philosophical depths of these ancient Vedic revelations. The talk is based on the book “Veda Vihangam”. The most sacred books of the Hindu race, the Veda – Ṛk, Sāma, Yajuḥ and Atharva -- are the oldest scriptures of the world, which have come down to us exactly the way these were composed thousands of years ago by the great sages of the prehistoric Indian subcontinent. Over the millennia, these sacred books have shaped Indian religious, social and cultural life, while their footprints are visible in practically every aspect of the Indian way of life. The chant of Gāyatrī, sacred symbol Oṃ, rituals related to birth, death, life and marriage, the growth of geometry, founding of algebra, invention of 0 in mathematics, prosody in poetry, languages, dance, music, drama – all this and many more, with which a Hindu feels inextricably connected, are directly related to the Veda. Consciously or unconsciously every Indian breathes in the Veda and when his life-breath leaves the body, his onward journey too is facilitated by the Veda. This series in Hindi is part of a systematic study of the Vedas.
