Labor Day Weekend Hits Broadway • Nashville Is Already Misbehaving • Streetwalkin’ Ep. 83

Labor Day Weekend has officially hit downtown Nashville, and Friday night on Lower Broadway did not waste much time getting into character. Recorded Friday, September 4, 2026, from about 9:00 to 11:00 p.m., Streetwalkin’ Ep. 83 starts around the Broadway Bridge before I work my way into the holiday-weekend crowd filling Nashville’s most famous few blocks. Along the way, I run into what appears to be a Hare Krishna group, record a wedding greeting for a complete stranger, encounter more of Broadway’s increasingly elaborate corn dog culture, and find a handcrafted IT car roaming downtown with a wonderfully appropriate “You’ll Float Too” message. Then come the usual ingredients: dancing, twerking, skateboarding, middle fingers, an impressive quantity of tongue, friendly strangers and thousands of people beginning a long holiday weekend in Nashville.
